Demo BPJS di Makassar Berunjung Bentrok Mahasiswa dan Aparat

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia - Hundreds of students who are members of the Makassar Suing Student Front are protesting in front of the South Sulawesi Governor's office. They protested the planned increase in the rate of the Social Security Organizing Agency (BPJS) Health.

The action which began at 16.30 WITA on Monday (9/16) was closely guarded by the police. Students had burned a used tire and a replica of a coffin that made the fire rise with thick black smoke. They also closed one access point, causing traffic jams.

"BPJS Health rates will be raised so we demand that BPJS disband. Give free health services to laborers, farmers and the urban poor. The governor must deactivate BPJS Health in South Sulawesi," said the general of the rally, Junaedi, who was met in the middle of the action.
